What does CALR+ mean and how is it tested for ? Is it blood test or bone marrow biopsy ? Does anyone have any experience of this , I only know I am not Jak2+, does this mean I could be CALR+ ?

Hi Jodary, the answer to your question is CALR stands for "Calreticulin" it is a gene that provides instructions for making a mult-functional protein. . You need to google CALR, and you find quite technical information about how it all works within the cell. You have a specific blood test to diagnose this gene as do you for the JAX2. I had both JAX2 being negative for me. You do need to have the blood test to find out. Good luck in your research. Lyn
