This info might help:

nhs.uk/conditions/lumps-swe...

It says on the NHS Choices info on Ganglions that they may be related to damage to the joint or tendon. Are you hypermobile?

Btw, I added "Ganglions" to the title of this thread to make it easier for other members to spot, so hopefully you'll get more responses. :)

Hyper mobile is whey your joints are able to flex further than the norm. It used to be called double jointed year ago. I have always had this and it means that the joints can slip further when flexing them. example I used to be able to lay on my tummy and put legs up behind me and put feet over my head and touch my nose with my feet and all my joints were too flexable. My daughter has shoulders that pop out because the ligaments at over flexable so don't hold the bones in place properly and althought they can overate on them the consultant says they would just re stretch. Hope this helps.

I've had 2 ganglions. The main one was in my right wrist and was only removed because it was sitting on a nerve and VERY painful. The other was in one of the fingers on that hand and when I slipped going up some outside steps and put out my hands to stop myself falling disappeared. Not sure if I would get them treated unless they are actually painful as my right wrist still hurts quite often, but a lot less and not to the same degree.
