My babies (canine)

I thought I'd try and post a photo of my babies - they keep me moving, every day I know they have to have a walk (they only get 10 minutes) but even if I have to force myself, they have that short walk.

Sadly my border collie is no longer with me, but I have got a new little puppy who is growing fast.

Hope you like them xx

They are a lovely family.

I know how much they can mean to us as I got myself a cocker spaniel planning on getting more exercise the year before my problems arrived! As you know puppies have to be walked carefully to allow muscle and bone to develope enough. Well I had all the walks planned out for us to go on, including the beach.

I was getting fitter too and looking forward to going out together when I had a lot of pain in my hips which caused me a lot of distress. There was no way I would have planned to have her without being able to care for her properly. However, hubby stepped in and has been walking her. As soon as I got my mobility scooter we were and are out and about. She loves it.

She is my life saver. When I am down she lifts my mood and makes me get up, even if its just to let her out. I got a kitten born the month my troubles began and they play like mad and have made me laugh many times.

Some may say having dogs whilst having FM is irresponsible, but it can work and it can help.

Really sorry to hear of your loss but your puppy seems to be settling in nicely.

Soft hugs

There really lovely looking dogs.

I think dogs can be such great company for us I've got a very lively miniture Shnauzer who is nearly 3 he does need a lot of excersise but I'm lucky as my husband does all the walking!!

He's a very clingy dog and always stays by my side and when I'm really bad or upset he'll come and get on my lap and if I've been sat crying he licks the tears off my face and always seems to find a way to make me smile or laugh.

It's lovely to see your pic's thanks a lot Hugs xxx ( or shud that be sniffs LOL)

my 2 german shepherds will detect on oncoming flare and let me know. Normally they bimble about the place doing their own thing, but when a flare is coming on 2 days before they are velcro dogs, literally stuck to me. Watch your dogs behaviour, it may well give you a warning something is brewing

bless how can you resist them lush lush lush xxlove diddle x

I have a yorkie who is almost 3, i also got her when i was diagnosed with FM, there is some days that i am so tired after work that i cant walk her one of the family have to step in, she knows when i am in pain because she never leaves my side. the love she gives you back is great, she never argues unlike my daughter and son, lol ;)

Animals are fantastic therapy, and untill I got too poorly to go anymore,my little yorkie was a PAT dog at the rest home up a verrrrrrrry steep hill from me.

I am hoping to be able to go back to it when I get a drug regime that suite`s

me,as I`m sure she misses all the attention and low fat treats.

As you say when I am really in a lot of pain and so tired I can`t move she pins herself to me.And this will sound very wierd, but when she was younger(she is 8 now) she kept sniffing my belly button through my clothes.

It made me laugh but I kept pushing her away, well you would wouldn`t you.Only for her to try again and agin.A few days later as i was drying myself it felt sore.I had been on the beach and obviously got sand in it and it had caused an infection.

What idiot said Dumb Animals.

They are very beautiful dogs you have there.
