To be honest weare all different when it comes to medication and you will see that although we all have fibro we all are on different meds and some work and some dont but again what may work for one may give another bad side effects you really should see your Gp thats what i had to do i had to keep going back ubtil he got the concoction right it is trial and error i am afraid, but even then i am never pain free so i would suggest your Gp as 1st stop love to you Diddle x

If the sulfasalazine are not helping, come off them - they can do more harm than good. Speak to your gp before coming off any prescribed medicines as sometimes you need to come off them over a period of time.

I agree with Diddle and christine think you need to mess with your meds to get the right combination also sometimes the meds you are on can counter act with a differednt medication, effectively wiping out the pain releif from both medications and yes your body does get used to the dosages you are on and you have to increase some medications and either stop or drop the dosages of others. Speaking to your doctor is the only way to sort this out xx

Yes medication is like a game of Majong! see what goes with another and what doesn't. Im on Tramadol, Naproxine, strong paracetamol along side other meds. I have recently been having really bad dizzy spells and almost fainting, I try not to read the side effects on leaflets cos i fear I will manifest my own! However on this occation I did and found out that Citalapram and Codine (which I took for a while) give the dizzyness. BUT now im not on Codine, Im still dizzy, but that could be just me huh! Ive recently had some really bad stomach problems from taking Naproxine. I stopped them for a while cos the hospital advised it for my stomach, but then I couldnt move my joints.........no win situation! problem is I love my garden so when Im about to go out there I take the lot, enough to drop a large horse! and Im 'ok' till the time I stop and the next day when I cant move at all! but my gardens worth it. Got to take the rough with the smooth hey!? xxx
