Hi, am new here so nice to meet you all. Has anyone else found that they have circulation problems and what do you do to help with it?

Hi there, I think I remember you on the PWB site which isn’t around anymore lol, my circulation is terrible , have you spoken to your Dr about it, I’m always cold 🥶 I find keeping moving as much as possible is the best

I am always cold, as if a block of ice is surrounding me. Sometimes go to bed with electric blanket on as high as possible as even with the central heating on high it is not enough. I have said about it to doctors but all they ever seem to do is a set of blood tests and then say you are fine, all the results were fine, or you need more vitamin d or whatever, instead of sticking to the subject and persevering with it. Yes you should push them and insist but if you feel ill you find it hard to. I had to push and push to see a consultant about this. I presented the symptoms to them, they said oh dear, we have no idea what that is, I said well I think it could be this or that, no they said it cannot be those things, I said well if its not what I t hink it might be what do you think it might be, no idea they said. And wanted to just leave it. As if I am a hypochondriac or making it up. For various reasons I do not change doctors, but there are times like that you wonder. What do you do about feeling cold all the time and your circulation? How is your blood pressure/

Weirdly I’ve always been a very cold person but I think menopause has balanced that out lol! I do find though I get white painful fingers any time of the year but mainly autumn and winter. And sometime the circulation my toe is terrible and can be extremely painful

I take hot baths, hot drinks, wear layers of clothes, thermals, gloves, hat. If I do get chilled it makes me feel ill, on top of the F aches and pains.

I dont bohter with things like showers or boths to feel warmer, because as soon as the shower or bath is done I would feel very cold again, it doesnt last.

I'm coping and learning to live with it. Some days are better than others and when I read how bad some people are I think I am lucky.

Will think on it. The thing is that I get days I am feeling ice cold, and others I do not, I could put all this clothing on and then feel uncomfortable or too hot and have to take it all off, then a few hours later the opposite. I find that having my heating on very high helps a lot but can be uncomfortable for my hubby. I have an electric blanket on the bed and have it on a very high setting very often, but again a lot of people would say it it is too hot so hubby has to sleep in his own bed. We do that anyway we we both snore.

Yes I sleep in a separate room too don’t think anyone would be able to sleep in same room as me as I tend to wake a lot with pain , you do what you have to do to get some pain relief and warmth

Am sorry to hear you have the problem. My pain is not that bad, but because I can go from being normal temperature to very cold, changing the temperature on the electric blanket several times plus a night, and snore, and need to be able to spread out and toss and turn, it just would not work to be in same bed. Does not mean that you cannot cuddle up in bed or whatever for a few hours, just not when it is time to go to bed for a whole night.
