My claim failed at Upper Tribunal and I went to the Court of Appeal who said the case is outside its jurisdiction because it was alleged that there was no procedural irregularities. I live in Birmingham and has struggled to find someone to help with Judicial Review. I think Wright Justice Solicitors in Small Heath accepts Legal Aid cases (well I was given their number by the Law Society) but I understand that I have to pay consultation fee. It's been an uphill battle.
I am feeling fed up.

Sorry to hear about your legal battle, is it for benefits or pip?
Have you tried citizen advice?
It is hard when they close all the doors for you, I do hope you find someone who could assist you, I wouldn’t go near Legal aid as they take into account the number o shoes you may have before they say one is eligible for legal assistance
It appears to me you may have exhausted the appeal process for PIP and would like to go for judicial review. The Judicial Review is a very complex process. To do this you need to have a lawyer who can argue the point of law on the grounds of illegality, irrationality and procedural impropriety. These are the 3 grounds the judges are concerned with to ensure the pubic bodies do not abuse their powers and any decision made was lawful.
If your case does not meet the above criteria then the only option is to go to the European court of justice but then because of the Brexit this may not be a viable option.
It would be difficult to give more information here as I do not know the full facts of your case.
Trusting you will find a way of finding a resolution 🌹
I agree, this is it, lawyer, which is what I am struggling with. Is the ECHR the next Court after the High Court or do I go to the Supreme Court next? Is it the case too that one can't appeal to the Court of Appeal, would you know and would the Court of Appeal come before Judicial Review? I can try and find a pro bono lawyer too, feels like looking for a needle in a hay sack but I am not giving up just yet.
Hi again, You may benefit by contacting Turn2us a charity helping people in your situation. No harm contacting a law centre in your area, The law is very complex and fighting on your own is a losing battle. It is unfortunate that only rich people can afford justice.
Failing that FM has a welfare adviser who should guide you through this process. Perhaps by ringing her
Thanks for taking out time for me. The law centre is inundated with cases. I could try Turn2us and see where that leads me. I have been naive about the system.
I believe in Divine decree and everything that will occur will take place and whats mine shall not pass me by.
Yes unfortunately there has to be an error in law. They have really tightened up on the eligibility for Legal Aid now which is unfortunate. Hope you can find someone to help you.x
Yep there is error of law but they need telling from the Professionals. People fob you off or try to, when one is a commoner, I am learning.
Thanks and sorry it took long
Try asking Fightback4Justice they have lawyers in their team in fact their founder member Michelle is a lawyer who went to court with me for my tribunal in 2014 fir DLA. They are a donation run organisation, they can be found on Facebook or by googling them as they have a website too. Good luck xx
Thanks for the information, I believe I came across their name on here and have infact spoken to them. The woman did say she was going to send me some information but nothing was said about what you've just mentioned.
