Hi conner, I take them to help me sleep but I wouldn't advise taking your friends go and see your own GP and they will help you do you not see a pain management team ?

Nah I already took one I already know well enough about dosages but as it stands if it's gonna help me sleep and hopefully kill off a little bit of pain, I'm all for it. I was just wondering if it's been beneficial for anyone so I can have a more personal insight. Thanks for the caution, I have an appointment on Monday and I'm going to bring it up about the pain management team. Ive also got a written list of symptoms I've suffered so hopefully that'll help them recognise the problem with a bit more haste. Hope you're well.

The person giving them to you is breaking the law. You could have a reaction to them so taking them is not advised.

At the moment, I just want some relief I have no paracetamol nothing else and if I know myself right I won't have no sleep either. Thanks for the concern session.

Not fully indicated for fibro and more importantly it does not have a theraputic effect until after a week's dose but more normally 3-4 weeks treatment.

Connor,, they are a fairly well known and often problamatic antidepressant,,, I wouldn't advise taking them like that. The thing is it takes a while for them to really start working and the may not be what you need right now.

I would hang on to you see your Dr,, just explain that your at your wits end and you need something to help with your symptoms.

Ask the Dr directly if it could be Fibro and qualify it with the fact that your mum also has fibro. If he is non commital I would ask for a referal to a rhumatologist as you have been suffering for a long time and nothing is being done to help,, tell them your at your wits end,,, as you obviouslly are!

Please don't take those Mirtazapine,, it's not worth it!

If you look at online forums for withdrawing from mirtazapine there are some real horror stories it may give you short term relief but long term could cause problems ,

Phenylalanine is an amino acid that many have found to relieve pain you can buy it in.Holland&Barrett why not give that a go before you commit to such a strong drug ? Phenylalanine helps depression too

I take 45mg every night to help me sleep and they work for me.

My brother has fibro and after he seemed to build a tolerance to Duloxitine his GP gave him Mirtazapine but it's early days so don't know yet if they will help. I hope all that has this condition find something that helps. I know how terrible fibro can be good luck to all. X
