Lovely poppy in the cornfield, no wonder you see rabbits and dogs bobbing up and down to see where they are :)

Perfect photo....all the poppies in my garden have been ruined by wind and rain, hopefully the young ones will survive and bloom...xx

Aren't they gorgeous. It makes a lovely change to see a field of red.

I spent half an hour yesterday wrestling with a very large gorgeous red double, frilly poppy plant that had been bashed over by the wind and rain. It is in a border along the wall of our neighbours house. They don't own the land but the council no longer mows it so they do that and put spare plants in the border. It defeated my largest came even when I had cut off some of the heads to make it less weighty. All wasn't lost as I out the cut offs in a vase and they are gorgeous. It is fascinating to see the world from another viewpoint.x
