hi hun, to get some answers could I suggest you use ask.co.uk and put this question in? there are a few reasons for the test and you should be able to relate to one with whatever you presented at your g.p with when he arranged this test..

I suggest you see your doctor as he would have authorised this blood test according to your symptoms.

There are several reasons for this test to be done, but as I don't know you and I am not medically qualified I can not say for certain.

Hi Queencara78

I am so truly sorry to read that you are concerned about your LDH levels. I have pasted you an excerpt below from the *NHS Choices cache on this issue:

*Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) test

Introduction

A lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) test measures the amount of LDH in the blood.

Lactate dehydrogenase is an enzyme that the body uses during the process of turning sugar into energy for your cells to use.

LDH is found in many of the body's tissues and organs, including the muscles, liver, heart, pancreas, kidneys, brain and blood cells.

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken
