Please sign petition for funding for fibromyalgia.

Hi all. I'm 26 and have recently (finally) been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I didn't realise everything that's involved with it. No cure, unknown causes etc. I've just set up a petition. It needs 10,000 signatures of government to take note. Please please will you sign.

Fund Research into Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia, also called fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS), is a long-term condition that causes pain all over the body. At present there are no known causes or cure. Fibromyalgia can be an invisible illness. Please take 30 seconds to sign this petition.

I will sign it with pleasure, But i'm sure you will find there is and as been many people who have been working very hard for many many years to raise awareness for Fibromyalgia. So I applaud your efforts with this petition and hope you get the amount of signatures you need. There can never be too many out there spreading the word. I have suffered for 30 years so know how hard it is to have our voice heard when asking for fibro funding.

I don't think we non-UK citizens should be signing it so I'll pass. I hope you get the 10,000 signatures you need.

Have signed. I think slowly it is dawning in some sections of the magnitude of the problem of fibromyalgia but any pressure we can bring to bear on the government can only be a good thing.x

Same as glochessum above, it says that the petition is being checked, so I will try again later, well done on sorting out this petition. I know there was some discussion about fibromyalgia in the house of commons (in one of the small chambers) a few months ago but there did not seem to be a lot of MP' s attending.

There is also a fantastic group called the fibroduckfoundation.com who are raising money for fibromyalgia research, last year I donated the money I was given for Christmas to them.

Hope you get enough people to sign it xxx

They are also having an awareness day in Leicester on May 12th if anyone lives nearby and can manage to go along to support

I clicked the link it says gov uk is checking I have had this condition years doctors and hospitals now about this but the government don't understand or they are not bothered about it lets hope this goes through I have inquired about it to higher up but didn't listen perhaps if we all get together and fight we might get through to them

Hello Zoelou47,,,,well clicked on your link, but the page stopped me from signing,,as it was checking the petition for the right bits,,,it did tell me 5 people have already supported your petition,,,,will add my name when I can,,, watched a repeat of the Jeremy Kyle, Emergency Room program that said a woman had fibro,,and so it does exist,,,,,ttfn from karen.
