Mine comes and gos but been up last few days like u get something stuck in your throat x
I have always got a sore throat, usually with swollen glands. I get itchy ears and throat, I know its an allergy but it so random I can't pin it down to anything
Yes, I do at the moment and sometimes my voice is almost non existant, today it's better than it was yesterday, but I still feel like I've eaten razor blades......hey ho such fun.
Sending lots of throat healing vibes your way 😃
Foggy x
Yes unfortunately I am in the same club as you and like Foggy often have a croaky throat as though I have a bad infection. Seem to have a constantly streaming nose and often eyes even though I take an anti histamine it is in winter as well as Summer.
I don't know whether you suffer with GORD as that can be the cause of soreness and blisters in the throat as often acid can come up in the night and burn the lining. I only found out when I had a persistant ulcerated throat without the usual cough and cold symptoms I happened to go to another doctor in the practice who was concerned by the look of it and fast tracked me through the system to see an Ear and Nose specialist who told me what it was and prescribed Lansaprazole which I have taken twice a day since and which has helped that.x
I have had throat problems since taking a drug for suspected RD. My throat closed up and glands swelled. Since then I have had a feeling of a marble size lump in my throat and voice more husky. My glands swell and my throat is sore regularly and I occasionally have choking episodes (this can be on nothing). I saw ENT who seemed to think it was reflux and prescribed Lansaprazole but this has done nothing for my throat problems so I dont think it is reflux. I have told my GP about the time when I had a popping sensation and spat blood and he just said its where you cough and burst a small blood vessel? Not sure about this either as my throat is still the same. I have also told Rheumatology about this feeling but no one seems to be listening. They put everything down to weight gain or fibro. Gentle hugs Joolz.x
I'm having a Barium Swallow test at the end of this month as I get food and tablets stuck in my throat every day, despite how much water I drink with them.
I have hypothyroidism (for the past 15 years) and I still don't think my medication levels are right.
Hypomites (do you see what I did there fellow Fibromites!!) are prone to having husky voices and GERD, and as previously stated GERD can give you a sore, hoarse throat. It can also be caused by post- nasal rhinnitis. Any of these things can irritate the throat and cause a cough or cause swallowing problems so I'm hoping the barium swallow teat will pin-point the problem and enable me to get it treated.
It's worth asking your GP for this test if you are having similar problems xx
I think we all get that from time to time I take soothers they help keep the throat moist. Hope this helps.
