I had this as a side effect of antidepressants. Do you think it might be linked to pills? I think this is quite a common menopause symptom too.

Hi amanda2277

I am so sorry to read that you are having this problem at the present time. Although I do not suffer with this I do know somebody who does and they are convinced it is just one of their Fibro problems. However, leebeloola is quite correct in saying that some medications do have this listed as one of their possible side-effects.

I think I would check your medication(s) and their accompanying sheets for side-effects first and if it not listed on yours then I would visit your GP just to rule everything else out first before chalking it up to Fibro.

Al my hopes and dreams for you

So to hear you are suffering with hot sweats they are not nice at all. I get hot sweats like this caused by my Diabetes, and also you get sweat like that when your going through the change. Hope you get to bottom of problem. Mg

yes, I get this daily. In fact right now I'm roasting hot in my body but my limbs are freezing cold, My hands are blue (I have reynauds) and my feet and lower legs are so cold I can't feel them (despite wearing thick fluffy socks and slippers and constantly jiggling my feet about and wriggling my toes to try to encourage blood flow) from just below my knees up, and from just below my elbows up, I'm so hot it's unbearable, and my skin is dry so I have to moisturise several times a day or I itch, but I have to wear a cardigan and when I'm sitting down I have a blanket wrapped around my lower legs and feet too, in an attempt to keep my hands and feet a little warmer. I'm so hot my face is bright red and I can feel the heat radiating from my neck and face.

I'm not on any meds so it's definitely not a side effect thing for me. Also not menopausal. I think it's just purely a circulation issue.
