I've just heard the news. May he rest in peace he was a great man & a great leader. I lived in SA for 27yrs and lived there during all the uprisings and when he was elected as President. I'll never forget those times and the feelings of solidarity between the majority of people of all races at that time. I'm also proud to say that I voted for him in the elections that made him President. RIP Madiba.

Now he is truly free. One of my favourite quotes from Nelson Mandela reads

"“Part of being optimistic is keeping one’s head pointed toward the sun, one’s feet moving forward. There were many dark moments when my faith in humanity was sorely tested, but I would not and could not give myself up to despair. That way lays defeat and death.”

I think this can be applied to everything in life.
