I am also working full time and would like to know this. However, you don't state whether you are on DLA or ESA? Have support with your mobility etc. Have you been assessed by Social Services [uk] as they are the most likely to help with these things. Also if you become ill and need help to get back to work, Access to Work through the JobCentre Plus might help with that.
Soft hugs
As far as I know social services will help most people up to the amount of £1,000 before looking into any savings, or work salary.
hello, i work full time and get Dla for mobility. I wasnt on dla at the time, infact this is what pushed me to apply. Google occupational thearpy for your area. When you call them should take a refferal and then come to your home and assess you. They gave me a electric chair for my bath. chairs and a bed frame to help me out of the bed. I could have had more stuff but this is what i really needed at the time. My occupational health said they rarely give wet rooms to people with houses its more for people that live in council properties. (what ever tthats supposed to mean!!) But that might be the case for croydon where i live. Each bourogh and county will work differently. Good luck.
I got my wet room through Occupational Therapy. I made a self referral and was assessed as being in need of help. I live in council accommodation and don't work. I receive DLA high mob and middle care and ESA. I didn't have to pay, but I think you would have to make a contribution towards the cost. Also I was told I would have to remain in my house for 5 years after installation.
