Morning Dunnit

Yes I get sweats as well. My GP & Reumy told me that's it's one of the symptoms you get with Fibro so don't panic. Are you on any medications? Sometimes dependant upon the medication were on can also have this affect. It's perfectly normal. Some mornings I can wake up drenched and not have a temperature.

Hope this puts your mind at rest. This website is fantastic cos you can always ask for advice etc and someone will always help and answer your questions.

Take care xx

Lucy

Hey. Yes, I have the same problem. When I exercise my temperature drops considerably. Lowest I've recorded (not doing right now but was a few weeks ago) was a 34.6 C, which is 94.2 F. Normally my temp seems to hover around 36.3 C (97.3 F) these days when at rest, which is fine. It's just when I do anything my body decides is too much. GP has no idea why it would do that; I don't think docs truly understand what or why we get some of the oddest symptoms.

Several commonly used antidepressants - especially venlaflaxine, are notorious for causing buckets of excess perspiration. Docs do love to give us all antidepressants, so if you are taking these, it may be an explanation for your sweating!

Been reading with interest about so many of us suffering. from excessive sweating. It is so embarrassing. I have been asked by total strangers "if I'm coming off something" (drugs). Moffy mentions some commonly used anti-depressants can cause it. Tramadol the much used Fibro drug is also notorious for causing excessive sweating as a side-effect. So, if taking Tramadol & Antidepressants, two of the first-line treatments for Fibro, is it any wonder that half of us are "Sweaty Betty's"lol:-) 0n the bright side, we're keeping the sales of antiperspirants up!

Keep smiling,

I used not to be a 'Sweaty Betty', but my large tramadol intake keeps me oozing nicely!

I have to laugh, tho' - this conversation reminds me of that programme 'The Two Ronnies' - d'you remember it? They had a character called 'Betty Swallocks' - they'd never get away with that in these PC days! LOL :D
