Can anyone explain why vitamin D blood tests are taking up to three months to get results.Had mine in March and still waiting.
I was refused a vitamin d test! I asked for one but they refused. I was really peeved! X
Mine took a year xx doc would not prescribe them for 6 months but now does, strange eh x
Have you phoned your Gps surgery and asked Norah .... My Gp is very good at chasing up lost paperwork and results from hospitals... Once I just gave him my copy of my report as he hadnt recived his from the hospital.. He photocopied it for his notes.

Hi, I'm amazed by the replies - my GP offered the test and the restuls were back within ten days! I would definitely phone the surgery or better still go in and talk with the receptionist who should be able to check on the system and if there's no record then talk with the GP about another test. Vitamin D deficiency is rife here in the North West and my GP said many people need the supplement. I've been on it now for months with no side effects at all. Do speak to the GP practice. Sue
