Negative frer 5dp5dt

Hi ladies, I'm so annoyed with myself that I tested this morning with a frer and got a big stark bfn. I really wish I had waited but had a dream last night that I was pregnant and just felt that it was a sign. I know that with frer it is 76% accurate on 5dp so I'm not holding out much hope but did anyone have a success story after a negative on day 5? This rollercoaster really is too much sometimes. X

Don't be annoyed at yourself!! There are no rules or rights/wrongs re when to test, and I'm an early tester too. My positive was very, very light on day 5, to the point that it's definitely conceivable it would have been negative if I was just slightly more hydrated, so I think you're still in it. Depending how many tests you have, either try again tomorrow, or wait a couple of days and see how it looks on day 7, which I think is more definitive. Wishing you lots of luck and hugs 🩷

Thanks so much for your message. I think I also tested early because it prepares you for the negative on otd and isn't such a shock. I think I've just read too much on Frer 's showing by 5dp although I know that there is a small chance I might have a late implanter. Said in my head I will wait until 9dp but may give in on 7dp, will see how I feel. Thank you again for replying, really helps to not feel so alone x

I hear you, this process is so tough. I was convinced I was out for my last pregnancy, tested early and got stark white negatives. It wasn’t until 9dp5dt that I finally saw a faint line. It’s so hard not to read into dreams and signs and I totally get why you tested, but 5dp is still so early. There is absolutely still hope. xx

Thanks so much for replying it means a lot. Did you use a FRER? I think I have read too many articles and posts about them being so accurate from 5dp compared to other tests which show later. Will try to wait until otd until I lose all hope but it's hard! Thanks so much again for replying it means a lot xx

Don't be annoyed, the 2ww is so hard! I would test again tomorrow...I tested 6dpt and I got the faintest line, I doubt i would of seen anything before! I am currently 23 weeks pregnant ❤️ wishing you all the best!! Xxx

yes I got a negative at 5dpt and felt so upset - then a veryyyyy faint positive at 6dpt, 7dpt was more obvious!

I know the feeling… last Thursday I was 6dp5dt and even though I was so determined not to test until 9dp5dt because of a dream with 0 symptoms whatsoever I tested with digital clearblue and I got a bit “not pregnant”. I was so sure I was out as I kept on having 0 symptoms and kept on telling my husband that I know my body and I am certain it didn’t work. Then on Sunday 9dp5dt the day I always had in mind and promised I will only test then I had another test and I didn’t even wait to check if the line appears I just put a 3 mins alarm and then went to check being 100% sure that it’s negative and I tested just for confirmation but then it wasn’t negative but positive. The line was very faint but it wasn’t negative there! I tested again yesterday morning and then again positive and the line got darker. Tomorrow was my test date 12dp5dt so I will test again for confirmation but please don’t think 5 days past transfer is enough… we are all different and our bodies are different and hcg raises differently in all of us… some implant sooner some later so you never know … fingers crossed for you and wishing you all the best xxx
