Hi everyone, hope the weekend is treating you well! Wanted to know if anyone had had different outcome with changing their trigger injection? I’ve had the Ovitrelle trigger in the past (which I believe is a recombinant drug type), but with my new clinic I’ll be taking a Zivafert trigger (which is a Urinary drug type). I’ve heard sometimes mixing the two types in stimulation can help with quality, but wondered if anyone has switched up their trigger in the past and seen success / better results? Thanks in advance!

Success with different triggers?

For my 3rd round I had Zivafert and Buserelin - it was my worst round with empty follicles.
My second round I used Zivafert and Decadeptyl I think it's called, had 3 out of 4 mature eggs.
rounds one and two I did ovitrelle - but had mild OHSS after round 2
For round 3 trigger changed to buserelin (caveat that this would rule out a fresh transfer but I was looking to PGTA and freeze anyway).
My experience with changing to buserelin was good - less post retrieval side effects and my ovaries didn’t feel like they were going to implode.
Also that third round was my comparatively best round in terms of eggs collected and blasts making it through PGTA (again caveating that I’ve only done one FET which was bfn )
I don’t know what impact the trigger has on quality etc but certainly in terms of OHSS risk it made sense.
