We’re three days into our injections and my husband is ill and has a fever, I have not caught what he has (touch wood). We’re doing ICSI and his numbers aren’t great, all below range besides morphology. Do we cancel everything or does anyone have a similar experience and can share. Many thanks xx

Might be an idea to ask your clinic this question as they know your history But as a rule this is more likely to affect his sperm results in 3 months as men make sperm in 3 monthly cycles
If it were me I would cancel the cycle. The fever will likely fry all the sperm currently in production so when he gives his sample in ~week's time, those sperm will have been affected. There is, of course, the chance that everything will be fine, but given that you're already dealing with male factor it's not something I would want to risk.
As Janet said, it takes 3 months for sperm to develop, so you'd want to delay your next cycle for 3-4 months to make sure you get a good batch of sperm.
I’m so sorry. Awful stress. We ended up doing a back up freeze sample for DH as he has to travel a lot with work and always seemed to pick something up at the wrong time. It took the stress out in future cycles that we knew if we couldn’t use a fresh sample we had the frozen sperm to use. Sending hugs
Thank you all for your responses. We have spoken to our doctor and the best course of action is to postpone this cycle and wait for a 4-6 week window where he is clear of any fever/Covid. Our andrologist said there’s a new study out proving that 12-18 hour abstinence window will produce less sperm but it’ll be better quality and if doing ICSI (due to grade 1- 2 varicocele). So waiting and proceeding with shorter abstinence period is the way forward. 👍
