**Sensitive - Birth & Hope for Over 40’s**

exhaustedbythesea profile image

Hi all,

For years I’ve been hoping to make this post.

After 5+ years of IVF and 6 pregnancy losses including the stillbirth of my first daughter, I am currently holding my sweet, 2 week old daughter.

She was my very last euploid embryo, which I got at the age of 40, and I’m now 44. She is everything I’ve ever wanted and was so worth the wait and the heartache along the way.

Just wanted to thank everyone on this forum for so much support and encouragement along the way. I know how much the success stories of others like me helped to keep me going, so I only share in hopes that I might pay it forward to anyone else needing some hope to hold onto.

Wishing you all the luck in the world and sending so much love! ♥️♥️♥️

Hi lovely. Such wonderful news sending huge congratulations ❤️ I am so pleased to hear you have your second daughter safely arrive. You have been through so much, your story is one of hope after such heartache, when suffer the trauma of your baby being stillborn it takes everything from you & changes you as a person & then having to continue on the battle trying to conceive via ivf with grief takes so much strength not to mention the anxiety & fear of going through pregnancy after losses ,

I am so pleased you had success & were able to bring this baby home. I hope you are both doing well.

We have spoke previously, very similar story to yours , years of Ivf then had our first ivf daughter who was stillborn in 2021. Further ivf & then I gave birth to my rainbow baby daughter in July.

Enjoy every moment sending love X

Huge congrats to you on the safe arrival of your rainbow baby girl! You have summarised the experience so well. It takes so much courage to keep trying after such a devastating loss, and although our new babies can’t replace those that we lost, their love is so healing.

Wishing you and your beautiful family all the best!! ♥️♥️♥️

Congratulations on the birth of your second daughter! I am so happy for you ❤️❤️❤️ Motherhood after losses and a stillbirth is a very different experience. Your second daughter will never replace the previous one or any of your babies but it will give you so much hope and love after such a long journey full of heartache. All babies are special but I do truly believe some babies are a bit more special than the rest, especially after a long infertility and IVF journey and when they are a rainbow baby 🌈 My second son (and only living son) is 2.5 years old now and I still cannot believe he is ours and is here in this world to stay with us! Enjoy every minute! Sending you all my love 😍 xxxx
