Brown staining can happen in early pregnancy due to hormone changes or irritation from using pessaries Maybe try using pessaries rectally If still concerned contact your clinic/GP

I’ve had this on and off for the last week. I’ve had a couple of scans, last one 7 weeks 1 day and all fine with strong heartbeat. My fertility doctor wasn’t concerned and said it’s most likely the progesterone. Still a way for me to go before I can let go of all of my nerves but hopefully it’s nothing to worry about. Worth checking with your GP or fertility specialist just to make sure. Good luck 🙏

I had this when I had just come off the pessaries at 12 weeks. Freaked me out so went to EPU who scanned me and baby was absolutely fine dancing around happy as Larry! If you are worried speak to your midwife. I worried I was causing a fuss but she said not at all, always best to get checked out.

Hi Azeezat, I have had this twice. Once at 7 weeks (when I was on pessaries) and again at 10 weeks (when I stopped them). I've also been told by the clinic it is quite normal after IVF and as long as it stays brown and resolves itself within 24 hours it is fine. If it goes longer than that I was told I should get checked but probably still fine. My midwife said just to phone and get checked if I am at all concerned x
