hi all just checking if there’s rules in Bristol for how many rounds of treatment you can have via nhs? Does it depend on where u live or if the round u have wasn’t successful and not entitled to any more ?

does it matter where you live to get more rounds of treatment

Yes, Bristol is one round of IVF, regardless of whether it works or not. That’s all I was eligible for when I lived there. I can’t comment whether having children already affects it as I wasn’t in that situation.
We don’t have any kids but the clinic we went with failed us big time lost embryo and left it on the speculum on the side and then said it maybe dropped on the floor and then when we lost we were told it was a good thing we lost as I’m disabled
Yes, my original dr was 1 round & I moved to a new dr’s to get 2 (my original was pre house move & I hadn’t changed drs since moving house) I literally live on the borough boarder ! x
Hi, yes 1 full cycle and 1 frozen transfer if the fresh transfer fails. They pay freezing fees for a year, too. I'm not sure whether having had a round privately first disqualifies you, but they might consider previous miscarriages as proof that you can conceive and that would count you out, unfortunately. You can find the information and criteria here bnssg.icb.nhs.uk/directory/.... Know that there are exceptions and your GP can make a strong case for you, but it's rare that they do so cause it's a long process. I'd email or call the ICB for more info as they're the ones approving the funds.
