I’ve just had my 3rd transfer (5th embryo) and my beta has come back at 18 9dp5dt
I’m very lucky and still have 6 left in the freezer but I was wondering what questions to ask my doctor? I don’t want to waste anymore embryos if there is an underlying issues.
All my embryo grades seems more good so I’m worried it may be something else causing them to fail? Any advice on futher testing would be appreciated ☺️

Hope you have people around you for support Have you asked your clinic if they can suggest any tests that would be of benefit to you ? They know your history and results and should be able to advice you what is the best way forward for you
So sorry to hear, this is almost worse than a negative I find.
I had 5 failed transfers before success and the things I tested during this time were:
ERA/ALICE/EMMA - my window of implantation came back as 24 hours out so changed my progesterone to 6.5 days before transfer.
NK cells / immune panel testing. I was found to have very high killer cells which they think attack the embryos each transfer so was given steroids to suppress this.
PGT-A testing of the embryos. We were also lucky to have 9 in the freezer so I wanted to test them to rule out transferring any that would almost certainly not make it.
I don’t know if your clinic test progesterone on day of transfer but mine always do and it’s often upped that day as my levels are often not high enough
Hello, firstly I am really sorry to hear your news. Have you had your tubes checked for fluid? I had three rounds with my first clinic who didn’t detect hydrosalpinx. I had them checked by a private gynaecologist after the third failed transfer and he picked it up. I had a laparoscopy to definitively confirm and they removed both tubes.
Not sure or your age, but I had my last round of egg collections when I was 38/39 and so had my embryos PGTA tested.
In terms of medication I’ve been on utrogestan, Progynova, Prednisolone, lubion and Inhixa. I also take vitamin D, folic acid and extra folate (as I have a gene mutation).
it sounds like it did try to implant (which is a good sign) sorry it didn’t work out this time 😢 just because some embryos made for the same collection didnt work it doesn't mean your perfect one isn’t still in the freezer waiting for you 🤗 things to ask about I would suggest is progesterone levels, ‘sticky blood’, bacterial infections, immunology test, thyroid function test. I have also moved back to single embryo transfers after a few chemicals as there is some evidence emerging that one non viable embryo can affect the implantation of the other so might be one to chat to them about too about what their thoughts are on that as well xx
