NK cell testing

Hi ladies

After lots of soul searching & trying to find our next steps ( with little hope)

We are now considering testing my NK cells & immune s .. iv been recommended a clinic to do the blood work .

We had a video call with our prauge clinic & was advised to go ahead & see if I do have any abnormalities.

The hardest part of the call was , his honesty about my womb / cavity.. im 47 & it’s not in an ideal state he gently explained that there isn’t anything I can do to correct it 😑 .

Moving forward he suggested 3 months of Dienogest to help with my adomiosis, then down regulation then prep for transfer..

We have 2 embryos left .

I’m asking if anyone has had positive results after NK cell testing after failed implantation & if anyone has been prescribed Dirnogest for 3 months with adomiosis ?

Hi, is the doctor saying your uterus isn't in an ideal shape due to the adenomyosis? Or for other reasons?

Dienogest is a newer drug for endometriosis, not seen much research about the benefits for adenomyosis. Might be worth a try. But traditionally Lupron + Letrozole have shown to be most efficacious for adenomyosis. For at least 3 to 4 month (longer the better). Then straight into a short FET with no break no periods! Some doctors forget this part and it's really silly. Maybe ask about this or consider for next time?

Have you considered endometriosis surgery as this often goes along with adenomyosis? How was the adeno diagnosed?

Have you looked into chronic endometritis (infection / inflammation) and tried antibiotics or a hysteroscopy to look and confirm about the inside of the uterus?

I had 10 healthy embryos transferred and failed before I had everything above looked at and treated (endo surgery, immune treatment, antibiotics). There is definitely hope! xx

Thanks for your reply & suggestions. Iv basically been told my womb isn’t ideal it’s bulky & my age is against me ( 48) natural aging can’t be fixed . We just can’t afford any more procedures tbh & time isn’t on my side . We are just deciding if we test Nk cells ( depending on results ) then go in the pill for 3 months then down reg … but it’s all a lottery.

It’s so heavy & deep down I know it’s time to accept that even using donor eggs we are not going to get pregnant xx
