Sensitive post-clearblue weeks indicator

Hi everyone. So sorry if this post upsets anyone but driving myself nuts.

I've had 8 pregnancies in total of which 5 were chemical pregnancies and 2 were mmc. We had our rainbow baby in 2021 through ivf and were looking to transfer our last embryo in a few months. However I've fallen pregnant naturally and I'm now super paranoid I'm going to have another miscarriage. I'm using First Response Rapid Response as opposed to the early ones and lines are dark but not progressing much darker. I'm still on 1-2 weeks pregnant but believe it should be at least 2-3 by now. I don't know when I ovulated but believe I implanted on 7th January as I recognised the cramping and the next day I got a super faint positive.

Anyway has anyone had this with first response and clearblue and then had a successful pregnancy? How much does implantation affect these digital tests? I'm wondering if I'm having another miscarriage.

Stressful time for you Think best not to check test to much as colour of results can vary depending on how concentrated your urine is Maybe in a week or so see GP and explain your concerns He may suggest checking your blood for rising pregnancy hormones

Take care

I would recommend doing hcg blood tests through medichecks. I drove myself crazy too with the weeks indicator tests but they are so unreliable. The only thing you can check for certain is your hcg levels are going up appropriately. I got 3+ really late yet my hcg was way above the threshold and I’ve since seen heartbeat on scan and everything fine. Xx

This is really reassuring. I read a similar story on net mums! Hoping to get an early scan date given my history xx

Congratulations !!! I will second Hanj10; just do two BetaHCG tests 48h apart; that would be your definite answer. I found urin tests totally unreliable (false negatives). My clinic does not accept urin tests at all. Wishing you all the best and fingers crossed 🤞

so adding on from the other comments I would say that I used both first response and clear blue.

When my pregnancy symptoms disappeared I freaked out and started testing again and my line at 8 weeks was the same as the ones in the picture. I had my scan the following week and all was fine.

Good luck cx

I would defo do the medichecks HCG or ask your GP to do some bloods for you given your history they just might. If medichecks still do the at home ones I wouldn’t do those I found it impossible to get any blood myself and it stressed me out quite a bit, you just get the blood withdrawn at a local chemist etc. The clear blue indicators are defo very stressful but have (unfortunately) predicted things for me personally although I know, having read just about every post on the internet, they can be horrendously wrong for many and cause stress for no reason! With a natural conception it could have easily have been late implantation and even if not it’s still not a full 2 weeks since conception which is what the clear blue indicators measure so 1-2 weeks actually sounds about right! Fingers and toes crossed for you 💜🤗 xx

Thanks! I'm going to try and step away from clearblue and get an early scan. I think a scan is the only way I'll get peace of mind xx

I had a similar experience and history. I freaked out completely when I fell pregnant naturally waiting for another FET as compared to the process and timings of IVF it was all unknown. I was also very worried about not being on meds and assumed it was all over before it had even started, and I didn'tknow what dates to use for line progression or the CBD with weeks. So I would echo what others have said and get HCGs done - my GP did them because of my history, but medichecks is also a good back up. I had an early scan but unlike with my successful IVF transfer where I had seen a heartbeat at just over 5 weeks, there was very little to see around what may or may not have been 6/7 weeks and I was told to come back. That brought its own stress but I just wanted to know there was something in the right place, so just something to think about and be prepared for. I think I must have ovulated late and had a late implanter too as the timeline and milestones seemed very different to IVF, and I felt like everything was very behind. But it's all been ok. I really hope it all works out for you.

Wow that is so similar to my journey. So pleased it's going well for you! I think I'll get early scan with my history. I got extra scans throughout my ivf pregnancy due to a history of cancer and they really helped the anxiety. However it might add to stress like you say if it doesn't progress as quickly. Ugh so difficult but feel so lucky.

I think together with the blood tests it was reassuring at that early stage just to know there was something there and it wasn't ectopic etc, and then after a certain amount of time scans are really the only thing that can tell you much. It's the first few weeks (well, months...) that were hard as it felt so uncertain. And if you've had cancer too that must bring an extra level of anxiety that I can't even imagine. It can be ok though x

Yeah I never relaxed in my ivf pregnancy and if this one does progress I hope I can enjoy some of it x
