Weird / worrying cycles post miscarriage

Posting here as a bit of a question to others and also a bit of a frustrated rant!

I sadly miscarried a blighted ovum back in mid October. By November by pregnancy tests were negative, I went on to have a positive OPK mid November then had a period as usual. I thought this meant my cycles were back after the miscarriage.

Then, this cycle, i began taking letrozole (which helps boost my ovulation), yet at a scan on cd15 today, there was no dominant follicle, largest was 7mm, when usually in a cycle i would have ovulated by now! It seems crazy as i even had the letrozole too to boost ovulation. I am wondering if the miscarriage threw things off? Or the letrozole was somehow doing the opposite of what it was supposed to?!

I'm now not sure if I will go on to ovulate super late, or at some point have a period and be able to start a new cycle. It just all seems so odd as my initial cycle after the miscarriage was so "normal" and , although i have polycyctic ovaries, I have always ovulated on my own and had a 19 day cycle.

Sorry, having a bit of a rant. After miscarrying I found comfort in making a plan and now things are not going to plan at all and i can't understand why my body is behaving in ways it never has before, which makes me afriad for further unpredictability in the future... Things are never straight-forward! x

Sorry to hear this, it’s really hard. after my 2 miscarriages, the clinic said it takes 2-3 months for cycles to get back to normal. So you might need to wait a few more months but in the long run, you may have a better outcome. Best of luck!

Thank you for the reply! I guess it’s a bit of a silly post because nobody can tell me it of when I might ovulate or have a normal cycle again. Good to know it’s not totally abnormal! X
