Hi ladies, just a quick update.
I got a beta of 79 at 14dp5dt, and today, at 16dp5dt, the line is getting lighter. The overall progression never looked good from the start, and now I can say that my two 4AA blastocysts tried but failed to implant.

Hello! I personally find urine tests useless; they have been showing me all sorts of things (like false negative on the day I had a positive, rising Beta- imagine if I stopped my meds!!!), so I learnt to rely on blood tests only. My clinic also does not accept urine tests at all and requires blood tests each time. Maybe if you are really anxious and can afford to get a blood test done today or tomorrow you will get a definite answer. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and wishing you all the best!!!!!
did you have the second beta yet?
They want me to repeat beta on Monday, so in 5 days, but I know they will be negative by then if the line on the tests is already getting lighter.
The line can vary so much depending on how much you ate/drank, and many other factors. Don't rely on this alone. Sending love xxx
UPDATE: I just did another test, in the evening, without drinking anything and after a urine hold of 3 hours. The line is barely there.

Thanks. I won’t do another blood test until Monday, it’s a waste of money since I’m sure of what the outcome is.
I understand, when you know you know. I’ve been in this position twice myself with IVF, hard to know whether it’s due to the embryo or something else, most doctors say it’s the former.

Hi just to say your HCG is highest in the morning. So the line would be lighter in the evening. I know it’s hard and you are pretty sure in yourself, but try to wait into the blood test. I wouldn’t count yourself out just yet.

It really isn't over until the bloods say it is. Wait for your Beta on Monday before counting yourself out. The urine tests are just an indicator. The ranges for HCG are huge for a reason, it's different for every woman and every pregnancy. Looking at the below ranges, your beta of 79 is within normal range of 4 weeks pregnant. It can start slow and then shoot up.

just wanted to say how sorry I am, I was really crossing my fingers for you. If your beta does show the worst, I can only imagine how you might be feeling, it’s happened to me 5 times too, thinking of you and take the time you need to grieve and process it all, it is so much to deal with xx

Sadly, this morning test was even lighter, no more doubts about it. This is my 3rd chemical, and I had an ectopic too. I’ve already stopped the meds, since there’s no point.

I’m so sorry. It really seems to be very common especially with IVF. IVF gives a chance but it isn’t a guarantee. Remembering this has helped me manage expectations but that doesn’t mean there isn’t hope for the future. Hope you’re as ok as can be xx
