So last night we got the call that both our little grade A embryos which we had tested, came back “normal” from PGTA testing. Not quite sure how this happened tbh, seeing as I’m 40 but we’ll take it! (I know PGTA testing isn’t 100%, like everything on this journey)
Anyway… I feel we have 2 shots now, can anyone recommend any testing I should have done before we book transfer in ? Obviously we want to give these transfers the best shot… I’ve had one grade A transferred before , one grade B and then a double as the last 2 didn’t make blastocyst (all untested)
I’ve had a shed load of blood done prior to this collection … they found slight possibility in clotting so when it comes to transfer, I’ll be on meds for that. Everything else came back clear.
Im guessing we maybe book and appointment with a consultant and go from there and see what they say !?
Thanks in advance… x

great news 🙌🏼 sounds like you are good to go unless your consultant y something else but sounds like you have had quite a few tests already. Good luck! Xx
If you haven't had one already I would look into having a ERA (like a dummy run for a frozen embryo transfer) so they have an idea of the best day to do the transfer for you. All the best xx
I had several unsuccessful medicated transfers and then decided to move onto modified natural as it suited my body better. My first modified natural ended in a positive but I miscarried at 6 weeks. I decided to go for NK cell testing and to ensure I did not have endometritis (infection in the womb). My biopsy came back with elevated NK cells and so I had prednisone and clexane added and again did the modified natural with light stimulation (gonal f on days 3, 5, 7 and 9) before triggering once my lead follicle was large enough. It takes more monitoring with scans but I definitely feel the natural was better for me and I am now almost 15 weeks. I responded really well to the medicated transfer protocol and everything looked perfect but after 3 negatives I decided I needed to try a different approach as lining was good, embryo was tested and no explanation for failures. Anyway, sorry this is so long but thankfully it all worked out on transfer number 5! Best of luck and congrats on those healthy embies 😊
Yes, all the embryos were tested so it was more and more likely it wasn't just bad luck but more of an issue with protocol or nk cells etc. I had my biopsy done in Germany as it was cheaper to go there & have it done than to have it done here in Ireland. I have psoriasis so high nk cells were a real possibility. Some clinics will prescribe the steroids without the testing just in case they are elevated. Might be something to consider discussing with your clinic. Other reason I preferred natural is you have a longer transfer window & I genuinely believe a large part of my failed cycles was down to timing of transfer.
