NHS IVF FUNDING WAIT TIME

hi everyone!

I just wondered how long it took for you to receive a yes or no from the NHS IVF funding board committee?

Our referral was sent a couple weeks ago. And I am so impatient!

Think it can depend greatly on where you live Maybe to get a better idea you could contact your CCG for more information

It is different for every area. If you look up you CCG you should be able to find the criteria, what they actually cover and waiting times for your area. For us our first application was refused as it had only been 18 months since my ectopic, was told you have to wait at least 2 years after a failed natural pregnancy to be considered was frustrating. Then 6 months later application went back in waited a month to hear picked a clinic and started our NHS round 6 months, they only fund one cycle and half the medication required for treatment in my area. So make sure you know what they cover in your area so you are prepared. Good luck x
