Considering multiple egg collections now?

hello, I’m 41 & a bit lost. Met my partner later in life, and started TTC in lockdown, unsuccessfully. Went to doctors when I was 40, by the time the hospital met us I was 41 so no help available on the NHS. We aren’t rich but also lacking time so I am considering doing multiple egg collections/embryos now to store my 41 year old eggs, then trying FET once I’ve had a small 1.5 x 1.5cm fibroid removed. Has anyone my approx age tried the multiple collection route?

first post here so thank you in advance

hey, I did embryo banking. 3 collections back to back. Started meds for the next cycle on the day of egg collection to not waste any time between. I’ve low AMH/egg reserve so chose this route as time was against me. I managed to create 3 blasts from the 3 cycles. I’ve now moved to transfers. If no success I think I’ll try a couple more collections. Wish you the best x

thank you so much - I didn’t realise you could start meds immediately that’s really good to know, thank you. Best of luck with your transfers & thank you for your time x

I had to ask my consultant to do it that way. Because I’d never had any lining issues I was allowed. Thank you x

Hi Darcy, I did banking and got 2 x day 3 embryos from 3 egg collections. I only ever get one or two eggs each time so went with a more mild IVf and banking. None worked and so I moved to DE. First didn't work so onto second one. I think it's definitely worth doing though to collect the eggs as soon as possible. Wishing you all the best!

thank you, the old biological clock is definitely steering me this way, I think. Good luck with your 2nd DE 🤞🏻🤞🏻
