is anyone else pushed out because of Christmas? I had egg retrieval last week and we got 7 embryos to blastocyst which we are over the moon about! My period showed super early which never happens and now the clinic said they can’t go ahead this cycle with FET because of Christmas! Anyone else in the same boat? 🙈
Christmas! Are you pushed out? - Fertility Network UK
Christmas! Are you pushed out?
That happened to us last year we ended up having the transfer in February. but worth it because now we have little one here for this Christmas . Good luck you'll be great x
thanks so much this has brightened my day! Congratulations hopefully we are as lucky 🍀
Hi NervousWreckBaby. Oh dear this happens so much I'm afraid as so many people go on holiday too. All I can say is that your embryos will be quite safe waiting to be returned back to you where they belong. At least you will be fully recovered for transfer. Thinking of you and good luck! Diane
Thanks I really thought I would be out of the woods except the trigger obviously brought my period on so early :(. hopefully next month is on time and we can do transfer late january!
Hi! My clinic advice is to wait for your 2nd period when you need to do a FET or another cycle, never do back to back. Because the bleed after the egg retrieval isn't the normal period, you start to bleed because you stop all the fertility meds. The 2nd one is the normal period and your body has time to clean itself from all the hormones. Sometimes it takes longer for the body to get back on track. So you should expect the next one to be a little later or not. It depends on your body.
Never thought of it like that. My clinic probably think i am the worlds most impatient patient! thanks so much
I know. With every cycle my patience gets lower and lower.
Another one here who had had it previously - December 2020. Second Christmas coming up with little one from transfer in Jan 2021! Devastating at the time but all forgotten about now. Wishing you all the best of luck and enjoy your Christmas x
loving these positive stories! thank you and congrats <3
