The answer for question 1 is yes and they can be viable embryos. My 9 months old twins are day 6 😁😘. Question 2, 8 cells have a higher change for a life birth but is not necessary a rule. Also the more cells in day 3 the stronger the embryo, so it is controversial a bit. I would say that what is more important in day 3 is actually the level of fragmentation along with the cells number.
Question 3, haven't got an experience myself but this can be a sign of compromised egg quality. Although embryos have been known to progress well and make a pregnancy despite the initial appearance of a problem.
