Why am I such a (super) early tester?!? 😫😫😫😫

Ok. So I tested again. BFN. My logical head knows I’m a knob and it is stupidly early…… but my past experience and heart tells me it’s the same result AGAIN….. 💔

Here is my logic-

- I am not quite 8dp2dt yet (transfer was not until 2pm last Wednesday)

- I did not use my 1st morning wee

- I used a cheap test strip and not an early response

- I do have symptoms (but I did last two times too 🙄)

- it is stupidly early - even if I was a 5dt it would be early on day 8 , but a 2dt (not even quite ) is just insane

All of that being said, when does logic matter to an insane, hormonal, IVF veteran?

Can anyone share some positive stories to lift by spirits ?!?

Sorry to hear this, it’s very hard, we had a baby girl via ICSI and she will be one on Monday. We have had another transfer last Thursday, so fingers crossed for both of us. This was our only surviving embryo from our third cycle. You only need one. Sending you lots of baby dust and positivity ✨✨✨ xxx

I am really trying to resist testing as there are so many factors that could affect the results. Stay as positive as you can and lots of distraction. 🙏🙏🙏

Trying to stay busy….. six more days of waiting is killing me and now I have opened the testing flood gates I know o will continue ! 😫😫😫

Hi lovely, your body won’t start secreting hcg until at least day 6 after a 5dt, so you’re body’s really not ready yet!!Early testing is so hard - try and wait at least a couple more days if you plan to test again.

Thank you for the reassurance . Would you say if day 6 for a 5dt, I’m looking at about day 9/10? I also know to use an early response test ideally- this was a cheap stick one that I had knocking about 🙄. Praying I’ll see a change in the result xx

Yes so my clinic always does bloods on day 9, so by then a first response should show it up 👍🏼☘️☘️☘️Cheap tests are tricky. I would always try a pink dye one xx

Hi, sorry to hear this but you have just described my situation exactly. My transfer was also at 2pm last Wednesday. I also tested this morning with a BFN. I had a few good reassuring replies to my post earlier. I'm now going to cross everything and hold off testing until OTD on Sunday.

So weird. All three of us had our transfers at 2pm last Wednesday! I think it’s a bit early to be sure, even with a 5dt, unless perhaps you’re using a first response early test. They are the most sensitive!

I have not tested yet. I’m trying to prepare myself by thinking out some lovely things I can do if it’s a bfn, and to remind myself that IVF is a long game: so many ladies have 4,5,6,7 transfers before they get their family.

Don't test early, I regret it. It has made the TWW so much more difficult as I now feel I am just waiting for confirmation of the BFN rather then the potential for a good result. Thinking about it, it would be worse if I'd tested early and got a BFP which then went to BFN on OTD.

Awww why do we do it?!? 😫😫 I just feel really sad and angry now. Least you only have to wait until Sunday…,, with a two days transfer I am bloody Wednesday! Xx

Don’t be sad! A too early test means literally nothing. Your body would not be producing hcg yet! Xx

Yes, it's a whole week after expected period if you had a transfer of a 5do! I manged to wait last time, when I got pregnant with my boy. But now I rebelled and tested 8 days early the first time 🙈🙈🙈 I just had to know if I was going crazy or not, that is if my shortness of breath, tiredness and waves of nausea were just imagination or really were connected to something real 🙈

Sure it is! It's way too early to say anything from lack of or presence of symptoms. Many women don't feel any symptoms at all except that they didn't get their period. If you were never pregnant before, you don't know how you'll react bodily on a pregnancy. So you rely on other's experiences, but you are not them ❤ Also It's way to early yo say anythibg from your early test, especially if it wasn't a test for to test early! I had an early test, and when I tested 13dpo (8dpt) the line was very faint, at first I thought it was negative. So that you got a negative test 6dp2dt (8dpo) is not at all predicting anything about an eventual future test result! ❤ Be kind to yourself! Wait at least four-five days more before you do another test! And use an early testing kit! Good luck ❤

Thank you . Thank you for being so kind and supportive . It really makes a difference . I’ve just done my evening pessaries and the cramps are strong …. In my head I’m worrying it’s AF even tho it’s right after the pessaries and I know this happens! 🙄😫😂 thank you ❤️🥰

I tested early too yesterday at day 4 and 5 and they were both negative. Now I’m a bit sad. I know it’s still early and Im having mild cramps and pulling. But I sure could have save the headache

Day 6 this afternoon. Had a 5 day transfer. I’m having mild cramping and pulling In pubic area. I’m hoping it’s pregnancy related. Do you think the cramps are from the transfer still

Aw thanks for being kind . I feel so sad . I had high hopes for third time lucky and feel like I did all the other rounds . Feel like sacking off all of it and going to the gym (which I have struggled not to do for 8 days) as there is no point restricting myself clearly!

I would hold out till your OTD before going to the gym. At least then what ever the result you will have no regrets.
