EC done ✅ in a bit of a shock 😹

Hello my lovely ladies hope you are doing well.

Last night I couldn't go to sleep for an hour worrying I've had a premature ovulation hahahha our minds can drive us crazy sometimes.

So I went in for my EC today and I was praying to God for at least 10 eggs as with my previous EC most of my follicles were empty. I went down really quickly and when getting out of the anaesthesia I was apparently asking for coffee in Turkish hahahha.

So I'm opening my eyes and barely able to speak and I'm straight away asking the nurse how many eggs they got and she is like you must wait for the doctor. Doctor comes in and says they've retrieved 22 eggs OMG... 22!! I've nearly fainted, I never ever dreamt of having such a number and I was in a complete shock. I still can't believe it tbh 😂

Now recovering at home with a nice cup of coffee and hoping tomorrow will come quickly so I would have an update on maturity and fertilisation.

We won't be having a transfer unfortunately cause of elevated levels of Estradiol and the number of eggs retrieved. I'm a bit disappointed but just a little bit, maybe would be best to give my body some time to recover 😍🍀☺️

Last egg collection that I did, I spilled some of my trigger so I went under sedation not knowing if they were going to able to get any - woke up to 14 - was absolutely over the moon!!

Thank you! Fingers crossed 🤞 fertilisation rate will be good! I did a short protocol, quite short to be honest. Period started 24th of February, started stims 26th if February and had the EC done today. I had only one progression scan ( 2/3) and blood tests done only once ( 5/3) and EC today. In Turkey the protocol and aftercare seems to be quite different thank UK XXX ❤️❤️❤️

Wow such amazing news! This happend to me on my 2nd EC I couldn't have a transfer but I it was a lot easier without all those hormones. Fingers crossed you have many healthy and sticky embryos.
