Just after a little hope!! I had my embryo transfer today was a 3bb embryo grade before thaw but once thawed turned into a 4bc - since my transfer i cannot help but thinking i stand not chance with this grade due to C.. has anyone else had a frozen embryo that changed graded once thawed? My dreaded 2 week wait starts and i just feel so disappointed already - previously i had a chemical with a 3bc!!! Thank u xx

I've never had the clinic tell me either way but they wouldn't have transferred it if it hasn't shown signs of growing and progression which is the most important thing!!
Hi, yes I have had them change when thawed. One went up to a really great grade from pretty average and I got pretty excited but it didn’t stick. My son came from a lower grade transferred later so I know it’s hard but try not to get hung up on it. (Easier to say than do eh 🤪). Wishing you so much luck xx
Yes they did say it expanded very well after thaw!! I guess i just expected the grade to either stay the same or be better but we will see. Really hope it sticks!!!
so after two excellent grade transferred, i just had a 3bb FET which defrosted in a similar way to yours. I almost wrote it off for the same reasons as you, seemed too poor quality. just had a 6+3 day scan, and there was a heartbeat! first time we've gotten that far
This gives me so much hope. My 3AA and 3BB didn’t stick and I only have one 3BB left. I almost considered disposing it since it seemed poor . Hoping to use it in June
This made me smile and raised my hopes. My last cycle was semi natural as we only used Femara before the transfer. This cycle they want to do a fully medicated cycle. Does this make much of a difference as my lining and bloods were great with the last one so they said I’m embryo was probably weak
I had a 4bc and a 3/4bc - transferred - and both of those were day 6 embryos that didn't seem to be getting anywhere on day 5...currently 15 weeks pregnant with one of those! It's definitely possible. Good luck! Xx
In a way its soo much better when they dont tell you the grades -ahhhhh causes soo much anxiety but like you said it was good enough to freeze. I hope it stays strong - this 2 week wait will be tough but🤞xxx
I’ve definitely read of successful results with a 3bc and whilst you lost the b you gained a 4 which is great. Haven’t heard of it changing but they are cells so that makes sense and it’s only their state they’re in now that leads to the grading. Try not to worry about that and good luck for the 2WW
Hi ladies just a quick update - last ivf cycle i ended with a chemical pregnancy and really thought the progesterone was the culprit so this time i really pushed for blood test to check my levels - at transfer they did a bloods and today have phoned me to say my progesterone is low!! So have increased my cyclogest to double dose and i have to go in for another test on Monday and they may give me injections instead!!!!!! So so worried now..
Good thing you had the progesteron checked! At least they are monitoring it now which is much better! What were your suspicions for having a progesteron issue?
I just had my transfer an hour ago, thawed well but graded 4BC and wondering the same as you of course how that will work out in chances. I had a BFN and a chemical before with better day 5 embryo’s and this is our last frostie so anxious but trying to be positive!
Seems like we are TWW buddies with same grade embryo so let’s keep everything crossed for these to proof grading isn’t important!
Thank you for your lovely message!!! Yes we can be tww buddies ❤️!!
In regards to progesterone I had a very clear positive last time with a 3bc grade but started bleeding early on so i asked my consultant to make sure i have my progesterone checked this time - lucky i did as now they have picked it up. My clinic are closed over weekend so have to go in on monday.
Aha yes with bleeding that is definitely something to get checked! Let’s hope the extra dose of progesteron should help and double checking on Monday if you need even more!
You would think they would offer this themselves but I have found you sometimes need to push for things. So well done on that!
Wishing you a good start of the weekend! I am going to take it real easy this time!
It is silly isn’t it. I definitely generally feel sometimes I am leading the consultant, not him leading me to the best options and outcome. I think they might under estimate how much ‘research’ we do ourselves these days 🤣
I unfortunately had a miscarriage at around 6 weeks definitely think progesterone was part of it.. i had very strong lines and even my hcg numbers were high but i think due to having less progesterone from the start this caused me to have bleeds and then the pregnancy did not continue 🙁. I do however have another embryo to transfer which is a little lower grade but going to give it everything and jus pray for the best. Its good to always go with your instinct i would always advise that as the nursing team have made quite a few mistakes if i had not mentioned and even the progesterone had to keep chasing them to check it..
Yes did want to take a big break but then wanted to go straight back into it again so should be having a transfer in august. They will base the medication on my day 21 period from June.. but they have also added prednisone this time. I will also be doing endometrial scratch had the glue last time so will do that too.I did have a daughter 4 years ago i bled a-lot with her was always on the edge but it ended up being a sub choronic haemorrhage!!
IVF is full of soo much emotions honestly sometimes wounder were we get the strength from. So so expensive here to as im private.
Oh no, so sorry, but sounds like you have a plan. It's awful isn't it. I just wish I was pregnant. I just had a 4bc transferred and feeling quite dejected. I really wish they didn't tell me the grading. This is my second transfer. I'm private too and it's dollar dollar. I have a baby too already (through IVF) and thought it would get easier. But it's just as hard. Sending you positive vibes
Awwww i know!!!! Yes my child was also through ivf and I honestly thought would be easier too. Just don't feel like giving up really want a sibling for her but don't know if it will happen. I had a fresh cycle were there was only 1 embryo and then did another fresh which resulted in 3 embryos but had to freeze due to ohss and having 28 eggs collected!!!
Was such a shame only 3 made it to freeze had 2 transferred in march which resulted in my miscarriage..
I know the grading is really annoying but i have seen soo many ppl go on to having healthy baby's with this grade. My Embryo left to transfer is also this grade Frozen but day 6.
Sending you lots pf positivity too fingers crossed xx
