Missed period, spotting but BFN could I be peri menopausal? Please help

Morning ladies, hope everyone is ok. My period hasn’t come this month and this hasn’t ever happened. Last couple of months been getting brown spotting. This month been spotting brown daily but no flow. Did hpt bfn. Has this happened to anyone before? I’m 35 36 in a couple of months. I don’t have PCOS and usually have really regular cycles. Really worried about being peri menopausal. Have next IVF cycle next month and worried this will effect me starting. Any advice I would appreciate! Haven’t been able to speak to GP Xxx

Hi BECIO. I would be patient if I were you and get a GP appointment even on the phone. Perhaps a couple of blood hormone tests will throw a light on what is happening. Diane

I had this exact same experience , got diagnosed as perimenopausal last year which was devastating. this year I asked to have everything redone and my lh, fsh were all normal. Then I found out I have a hyperactive thyroid, which explained the irregular periods. it can also be stress or anxiety. to be perimenopausal your FSH has to stay above 19 consistently and months/years of no period. Don't panic! I find my body does this to be also with ivf looming. I'm day 33, no period and ivf in March xx

Hi Katymcg thank you so much that really means a lot and helped to reassure me!!! Mine came today day 33! I think you’re right! My last round was April 21 and had to wait a year and I’m obsessed I’m going to get no eggs! Good luck for this round xxx

bless you! I completely understand. I feel the same way, every scan u just want to see blobs on the screen! day 33 totally normal, so that is good! I did as well. thank u, good luck xx
