Tubal spasm during HSG procedure

Hello everyone.

My HSG procedure was very painful from the beginning, starting from putting the metal speculum till injecting the dye that I had to stop the procedure untill I feel ok. It's was nothing like a smear test as doctor claimed. I started bleeding after the HSG procedure.

The results of my HSG procedure was no Hydrosalpinx.

But delayed spillage on one tube and loculated spillage on the other tube. Which might be adnexial occlusions and adhesions whichcould cause ectopic pregnancy.

But I don't think I have occlusions and adhesions as I didn't have any serious infection apart from BV and thrush.

Could that be Tubal spasm? Apparently it's common in hsg procedure because dye is forcibly injected. I already had a bad start of the HSG procedure when the metal speculum was injected and I was wiped using a metal tools for disinfection which was very painful .

Thanks xx

Hi Madeline. So sorry to hear this. Usually tubal spasm happens in te tube itself. Dare I mention having a repwat using heavier sedation. Get a proper analysis of the x-ray then see what your specialist recommends. Thinking of you. and hope they can knock you out for a few minutes if it has to be repeated. Diane
