Hi 👋
I had a bleed at 8 weeks pregnant that was almost like a period. It lasted about 3 days. Baby was fine. I carried full term and my boy is nearly 10 months old.xxx
Hi. Hopefully all is ok but best to call your clinic for advice x
I think the progesterone can make your vagina really sensitive and bleed. Didn’t happen to me but I did hear from a lot of people that’s the case. As long as it’s not a lot of bleeding. If you’re worried call the clinic or go to the EPU
Hi Rosie,
I had my first light bleeding around my 10th week, after a "difficult" number two (sorry, tmi!)
I went to the hospital, the baby was perfectly fine, and I was diagnosed with ectropion, which is a complex way to say my cervix was delicate and prone to blood vessels rupturing.
I had a few more bleedings shutting the pregnancy, usually after sex (again, sorry for tmi), but my daughter is now 2yo
😍
So, I know it's scary, go to EPU, but dunt give up your hope yet. Fingers crossed, let us know!
I've been bleeding since I tapered off the progesterone from around 9 weeks. I was told light and brown is ok, only update if you get a lot suddenly or red. I wasn't happy as it had gone on for so long (now 17 weeks) and was definitely linked to the progesterone. Many, many scans later and the baby is absolutely fine and there's nothing in or around the uterus. However I had an internal scan last week and there is a growth of some sort on my cervix - they don't know what it is, possibly endometriosis, possibly hormones, or just because my cervix is more prone to bleeding. It's not any risk to the pregnancy and that was my main concern. It's very worrying to get any kind of spotting or bleeding but I think it's very common in the first trimester in particular. If it carries on, gets worse or you're just not happy about it, don't feel bad for asking for it to be investigated but also don't assume the worst conclusion x
