I'm feeling so sad, this is my 3rd transfer I've not bled before 1st a chemical, 2nd lost at 11-12 weeks.

Last night i sneezed and felt something down below, wiped and saw a mucus dark blood stained tissue.

This morning woke up went to the toilet and have more. Contacted clinic waiting on call back. Feeling worried, sad and deflated this is only day 2 after transfer. Is it all over already!

Hi Lou, I’m no expert but as long as it’s not bright red blood try not to worry. It could be old blood from the transfer as there is a lot of irritation to the cervix, if you’re on any blood thinners you’ll bleed more easily. I’m sending you tons of good vibes! Try not to go down the rabbit hole.. I hope you hear from the clinic soon, keep me updated 🍀🤞🏼 xx

Thank you so much for being here. I was in a complete panic and so disheartened to imagine already the 2ww has no hope BUT also the clinic have come back to me after speaking to a doctor and showing the doc the photo i sent 🙈 (needs must) Doc confirms it is more likely to do with the speculum used during transfer and that my cervix is tilted so a little more pressure and poking was done. Lets see and not give up hope I guess 🤞

Definitely do not lose hope! I really think everything is fine and that is reassuring from the clinic. Everyone says the transfers are so straightforward but they still stick a huge metallic implement up your hooha for 15mins…! Take it easy and I’m here for a chat if you’re worried xx

Hi Lou I had bleeding all day after my transfer, pink when wiping, eventually went brown and stopped.I know at the time of transfer they struggled to get through the cervix easily so it was from that 🧡 I called clinic anyway and they reassured me all good, good luck to you x

Thank you for connecting with me. Your words are reassurance. I also heard back from clinic and they said this can be very normal.

Hi Lou. I had a fresh transfer of two morula embryos and started heavily bleeding between 8dp5dt and 11dp5dt (heavier than my typical period). I called the clinic and didn't receive any reassurance whatsoever from the nurse I spoke to so I spent the next 5 days miserable and thinking I was out. My OTD was Monday this week, but I decided if it was going to be bad news I wanted to do it over the weekend and not before I started work. To my total shock and surprise, it was positive! When I called the clinic again on Monday, I managed to speak to the nurse we've dealt with most and told her I was in denial as I'd been bleeding heavily last week, her response was 'it's not always a bad thing'. I wish I'd been able to speak to her last week instead of the nurse that I did as she settled my mind in a split second. It's natural to see blood and think the worst, but do try to keep the stress levels at a minimum and just enjoy being PUPO for the time being. Also, try not to google it, I did and I drove myself crazy so it's best to just avoid it and wait for your OTD. I wish you all the best love 😘 xx

P.S Should have added, that the nurse I spoke to on Monday said that bleeding could be implantation bleeding or it could just be from an irritated cervix. As you've only just had your transfer, it could be that.

I totally feel you lovely. I’m sorry for how you feel.Im no expert in this but the embryo is microscopic at this stage and I don’t think what you saw was necessarily associated with the embryo. The whole process egg collection/implant is very invasive and might cause bleeding at some point. Try not to read too much into it. Lots of love.
