Is it ok for somebody with Pcos? I had 40 follicles, 20 bigger two days ago. I was expecting more but I am still grateful! 🙏🏻
I barely feel I did IVF, always felt great physically and emotionally during stims and even now after retrieval. Now the waiting games and the hardest part starts! 🙃
9 fertilised, hopefully the one is there!

Hi FancyItaly. That's not so bad. Hope all goes well with fertilisation and eventual transfer. Drink lots of water and have a little rest, but try and remain active with little rests in between. Diane
16 eggs is fantastic. Well done! You actually don’t really want more than 18-20 because studies have shown diminishing returns — once you get above that number most of the eggs aren’t mature/ great quality anyway and you’re at higher risk of OHSS. xx
Hi FrancyItaly! 16 eggs is amazing! I have PCOS too and only got 10 back! I was expecting millions of eggs 😉 it’s quality over quantity at the end of the day though so don’t worry too much about the initial numbers. Good luck 🤞
Believe me you do not want to have many more. I have PCOS and on my first cycle they collected 62. The consultant was overjoyed but it didn’t last as 5 days later I was left with one poor quality blast that resulted in a BFN. The fact they collected 16 means they managed to adjust your med in time before your ovaries got carried away, as they often do with PCOS. The cycle I was most successful was also the one that yielded the least amount of eggs - 23. Best of luck to you and count yourself lucky you didn’t develop OHSS symptoms. I found that more painful than giving birth! X
Zess thank you for sharing your story. In fact the doctor lowered my dose after 5 days of stims, in total I had 7 days of stims and on the 8th I did the trigger shot. Were you successful with the round they collected 23? Xx
This is a very good number! Image of you will have a good feritilisation rate and plenty embryos, will you transfer all 10-15 embryos (just an example)?!? Good luck 🤞♥️😃
9 fertilised, I think it’s a lower rate than usual but I have Pcos so probably some crappy eggs. Well of course I need one but I think we all aim to have more so we have something to freeze! Xxx
Well done! I had 15 eggs and 7 of them went onto be 5 day blasts. Take it easy after egg collection. I was very sore afterwards for a week or so but was told to move / walk to help healing process. Good luck 🤞
That’s really good! You might lose more you may not but remember it’s good that you got so many eggs in the first place and it only takes 1. My friend only had one egg and was successful.
I think it’s rare not to lose any at all - I think the average is that of the fertilised embryos, something like 30-50% make it to blastocyst - but those are really good numbers! Good luck 🤞🤞🤗
Hi - I had 30 removed - and like you, I also felt fine throughout the whole process. I did feel quite full when it came to removal and the actual removal procedure was really uncomfortable but I guess there was a lot in there haha! Only 4 fertilized and only one made it to be transferred but I'm now 28 weeks with her and she's still wriggling like crazy. Good luck! xx
Amazing 🥰 Thank you for sharing! I’m now waiting to find out how many of the 9 get to embryo stage, if any. In the end, we know that numbers and quality are not always what is needed, it will just happen when it’s meant to xxx
Those sounds good, and there's always a chance! You don't need a top grade embryo to get pregnant. Sometimes it's the lower grade ones that become our precious babies. Ours used a different grading system (and at times didn't tell us grade at all), so can't 100% comment on the grades you've been told, but would say keep your hope for all of them. x
