My transfer is booked for Tuesday and I have just started bleeding...please advise

Hi..i am booked in for an embryo transfer on Tuesday and I have just started bleeding...has this ever happened to any of u? Does this mean the transfer can’t go ahead? I just had a baseline scan yesterday and my lining was almost 11cms? X

I know someone who had bleeding although it wasnt heavy and she was ok to go ahead with transfer and went on to have a baby. I would mention it to your clinic, perhaps they could rescan you to check all is ok lining wise? Good luck.xx

I had some spotting prior to my last transfer around day 12-14. My lining was also 11mm. They were happy to go ahead still. Mine did end up stopping before the transfer was actually done. I would definitely say to mention it though just to make sure x

Hi, thanks for responding...How bad was ur spotting? When I went to toilet full red blood on toilet paper last night but seems to have calmed down now again...was ur transfer successful? I have spoke to clinic and they r going to give me another scan tomorrow x

It was just tiny bits when I was wiping. That’s good that they are rescanning you as that should give you a definite answer then. I’m in my tww now so I can’t tell you yet! Fingers crossed it will be! Hope all goes ok for you x

Hi Vicky, I had some spotting a few days before transfer was due. They did a reassurance scan and found that the lining had reduced and the transfer was cancelled. They did say this was v rare in less than 1% of cases. I think it would be good to let the clinic know about the bleeding. Fingers crossed everything is okay and transfer goes ahead as planned xx

Hi, thanks for responding..I have spoke to clinic and they r giving me another scan tomorrow..did u go for another cycle after the transfer was cancelled? If so did it happen again? X

Thanks Vicky, this only happened to me a few weeks ago so haven't started next cycle. Worryingly have been having cramps since it got cancelled. I think was on way too much oestrogen.

By any chance have u had ur covid vaccine? I have read that some people r reporting that once they got the vaccine they had unsual bleeding even when on medication to stop bleeding? I have had 2 cycles and this has never happened to me before and I have been on same medication this time as my last 2 times, only thing that is different is that I got the vaccine couple days before starting treatment xx

I had the covid vaccine about 3 months before the FET hormones started. Very strange how things were okay during the past 2 cycles for you. I hope they get to the bottom of it xx
