Is 10dpt too early to test?

Hi, I'm 9dpt of 5 day blastocyst at the moment. I started spotting Saturday evening (7dpt), a little yesterday and more today. Its still really light but I just feel like my period is coming. I've had cramps on and off through the tww but today I've got quite a lot of pinching on my right side of uterus. My OTD is Friday but not sure u can wait that long, I'm convinced my period is coming so just want to know for sure. Not really sure why I'm asking as I know the answer is to wait until Friday 😂

Hi, I don’t think 10dpt is too early but there again they give you an OTD for a reason! I’m only 5dpt so feel a million miles off OTD. I had spotting from day 5 and full period by day 6 so I think there’s still hope for you.

Sorry just realised that didn’t make any sense at all. I meant on my last round which was my first ever fresh cycle.

This is my second round and my first FET. So I’m 5dp5dt today. Been a bit more crampy today so worrying it’s history repeating itself but we’ll see. It’s so difficult to know if you should test.

Maybe hold out if you feel like that. But if it’s making you feel negative just go for it x

Ah OK that makes sense! This is my first cycle too. The first few days was a breeze now I've got loads of cramps. Did you get put on different medication this time to stop your period coming early? X

I know sorry! I even confused myself with that comment!

I’ve not been put on any different medication but I asked for a progesterone check on transfer day this time and it came back ok so just have to trust that.

My first cycle which was fresh, I was majorly overstimulated. But when it’s your first time you just don’t know. I was in a lot of pain but thought it must be normal as they didn’t seem too concerned so I feel we wasted an embryo and should’ve waited and done a FET. But you just want to get it done at the time. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

This time I feel so different. So much better prepared for it so feel we’ve got a better chance but we’ll see.

Day 5 has dragged!!!

Really hope if you do test tomorrow that you get a positive result. I’ll keep everything crossed for you xx

Hi VLG. I always recommend that you test on the day recomended by your clinic. So keep up with any prescribed medication until then at least. The pain you have could be due to some infecction, ? urine, so make sure you drink plenty of water to ensure your urine is nice and pale and clear, Could even be3 from the progesterone, if you have been prescribed it. Thanks Dianne. I think the pain could be from the pessaries as I just had one and the pinching started again. I'll keep drinking lots of water. X

My clinic recommend to test on day 10 as OTD if you had a day 5 embryo transfer, I started to test from day 5 😁 and it was positive. Regarding spotting is quite normal or not unusual, I had spotting since day 5 after FET. Good luck 🤞🤗

Congratulations on your positive! Did you have period pain with your spotting? Sounds like 10dpt is ok to test then, I'll see how much will power I have tomorrow morning to see if I wait til Friday or not! X

Thank you! I did had bad period cramps and spotting at the same time for more than 2 weeks 😤 I thought so many times that is over only one thing kept me going and was giving me hopes was that I transferred 2 embryos and I thought that one for sure will survive but we been blessed with 2 ❤️💖🥳 period cramps did not stop until 12 weeks pregnant, spotting at 7 weeks.

Hi I'm in the same boat, official test day is Thursday and I'm starting to get the urge to get a test - lucky (or unlucky depending on how you view it!) I got a covid ping so I'm having to isolate. Other half will have to be dispatched to get the test 😆

Everything and nothing! A tiny bit of old blood this morning (TMI sorry) and I had a stitch in my left side for a couple of days (at the time my paranoid head thought it was a sign of something bad!) Sore boobs but that s probably the meds. Good luck for Friday!

Hi, I am currently 8dp5dt and had sore boobs and felt a little dizzy for the first couple of days post transfer. Then had no symptoms for a few days. Then Saturday night I started spotting (5dp5dt), Sunday it calmed down a bit then yesterday (7dp5dt) I was spotting but a lot more than I was on Saturday.. we rang the clinic and they said this is entirely normal for this stage an a lot of people panic thinking there period is coming when in fact it is likely to be the pessaries irritating your cervix and it could also be implantation bleeding. They said to continue as normal unless bleeding turned into full on period. I also had cramps over the last few days like a period was coming but they said this can be from the pessaries too or from your ovaries shrinking back to size. Good luck for your test day, mine is Friday, went to buy tests yesterday!

Hopefully yours is implantation bleeding. I called the clinic too and they said the same. Mine seemed heavier than spotting but not a full period so fingers crossed its implantation bleeding and nothing to worry about. Good luck for Friday!

My OTD is Friday too. I had a tiny bit of spotting this morning and my usual lower back period pain the last few days. No other symptoms apart from feeling my period will start any minute. It’s torture , but hang in there. Wish it was Friday already , I will be getting up nice and early to do a test. Does after mid night count 🙈 I’m a 3 day transfer btw but they told me Friday. So that’s only 11 days after transfer .

Good luck for Friday! I did test on Tuesday in the end and got a BFP. I called the clinic as I was still bleeding from the weekend. They said my OTD was Wednesday (today) so to test again. BFP again today but heavier bleeding so I'm pretty sure it's all over now 😔 I hope you get your BFP on Friday 😁

My OTD is tomorrow (Thursday) early morning, been having cramps on and off But no spoting, hope it’s normal too🙏. My boobs are sore and been feeling tired ,also backache,… been tempted to test but afraid of getting disappointed . Am currently on 9dp5dt

Good luck for tomorrow morning. Hopefully your cramps are implantation. I got my BFP but I'm bleeding a lot so it may be all over for me now.

🙏 thank you.. sorry to hear that but maybe it’s not over yet for,have read on here women saying had alot of bleeding but only to be told by doc the baby is stll in there n good.
