Am I definitely going to miscarry?

I had mine checked Monday for the first time and it was 1473. I was told to come back Friday and that they should have more than doubled by then. Friday my results were only 2115. So, it didn’t double. Everywhere I’ve looked suggest I could have an ectopic/blighted ovum. I’m 5 weeks and 4 days. I will see an OB tomorrow but I know it’ll be too soon to see much. Does HCG have to double within that time frame and if it doesn’t does that mean a definite miscarriage?? Please tell me there is hope for me!

It will usually double within 48-72 hours when it doesnt it normally likely to be either ectopic or non viable but im sure there are cases out there when the embryos are just a bit of a slow starter.

I would ask for a scan if they refuse because if its ectopic the sooner its found the better , i had one and it took a week of scanning to find it as i was like 5-6 weeks
