Hi. Has anyone had 10mm follicles at day 10 that have successfully grown to 18mm by day 15?

Hi. I’m on my first round of meds. I had my first scan today and had 8 follicles at 10mm. I’ve been advised to continue for another 4 days which takes me to 14 days. Can anyone tell me they went from 10mm to 18mm in 4 days? Please. I’ve found it so disappointing today but trying to stay positive.

Hi I don’t have any experience myself as I’m also only on my first cycle, but didn’t want to read and run. My cycle looks like it will be cancelled as I haven’t responded to the stimulation (I’ve two follicles of right size and the rest out of the 21 follicles I had at baseline scan have barely responded at all) so I’ve read a little about it and I totally understand your disappointment (had a proper cry today).

If I’ve understood correctly the follicles can grow 2 mm per day, so they could definitely get there! Fingers crossed for you and continue hoping!!

Hi, yes it is totally possible. I had some grow from 16mm - 21mm in 2 days on my cycle. My consultant said sometimes the body can take a while to react to the drugs but once it gets going the growth can speed up. Don’t give up hope yet xx

Hey there, yes this was always the case with me, after my second scan they would normally keep me on the same meds and push egg collection back a couple days, just so it would give the follicles the chance to get to at least 18mm. I think they normally upped my dose too

Totally normal. Keep going with the stims, drink loads of fluids and you’ll be fine. X

Yes. I had 3 10s and after 3 days they were at 17. Then with the booster and by the time I got them collected they were mature. It’s amazing how quickly they can grow. I was on 225 menopur at the time. Good luck. Xx

Hey I did I had some 16 on Friday and on Monday jumped to 20 with no change in medication or anything xx
