Lipiodol Flush

Has anyone had a lipiodol flush of tubes and uterus for fertility purposes? It is meant to help with implantation for embryos, especially in women with endometriosis. I have found it readily available in Australia but wondered if that was also the case in the UK?

Hi Lipiodol flushing has now been approved in the UK as you say for endometriosis sufferers, but only a few centres offer it at an alternative to the usual contrast medium used to perform an HSG/Hy-co-Sy. Hi I did an NHS HSG/Hycosy examination at a hospital in London and while I was waiting I asked the Dr if she could use Lipiodol as I had read positive things about it. She was surprised I brought it up but was happy to do it after checking a few health parameters with me. I can’t say anything about it working or not though as we haven’t managed to conceive naturally and are only starting IVF/ISCI cycle now.

I don’t know for sure but it was to do with a blood test I think.. sorry not to be of more help
