Just some help and advice needed, we have recently had our 3rd fresh round of ivf. Everything went went well and had two 5 day embryos transferred on 8th March.
I have been really good and not tested before my clinic told me to, on the 19th (12dt) BFN they had told me to test again on 21st March. Which was a very faint line, I then bought another test which I did which was positive.
I have woken up this morning 15dp5dt and taken a first response test, and got a very strong BFP.
Can this be true? Am I testing to late? Or have clinic asked me to test too early? Really don’t know what to think!! 🤔
Thanks x

This actually happened to a friend of mine, she got a bfn on OTD but then a faint BFP three days later. She had a healthy pregnancy, guess it was just a late implanter!xx
I would say the later result is likely to be correct and the earlier one just too early! That’s why they always say to test again in 2-3 days rather than stop the meds immediately .... congrats 🥳
Agree with the other comments. Take it as a win regardless. Congrats. Friday was my official test day using the hospital issued test and it was faulty. The test didn't work at all, no control line. I will as devastated. I had to wait until the next day to retest and I also got a BFP. I think sometimes it just takes a while for the HGC to build up enough and also that some hospitals have issued crappy home tests.
I have spoken to my clinic and they are happy it’s a positive, (still doesn’t seem real) they have told me just to carry on for another 2 weeks with the medication, then they have booked me in for a scan.
Does this seem right? Thought I would need a blood test to confirm.
Same as me. Just carry on with the progesterone pessaries ( I had to pick up a load more from the clinic) and a scan on the 13th April. No blood test. I thought the blood tests (beta draws) were mainly in other countries and not common in the UK.
