I started having some brown spotting early this morning and started to think that this was going to end up in a miscarriage like the other 2 pregnancies. I called the clinic and they brought me in for a scan 2 days before the scheduled date.
To my surprise, my double transfer worked and I have 2 healthy sacs with heartbeats. After all the struggles, this feels unreal.
Hopefully someone reading this post gets some hope. For so many years I was told I would struggle to have a child because of my fibroids. Then once I surgically removed them, I had so many fertility disappointments and setbacks . At 41, I finally saw two heartbeats today and my goodness, all the fighting against the negative medical diagnoses seems worth it. A long way to go, but what an emotional day. 💓💓
Keep fighting IVF warriors...

Congratulations. Thank you for posting this. This morning I found a tiny amount of light pink spotting and after a tiny amount of brown blood. I phoned the clinic and I am to monitor and to wait until my 7 week scan next week. It’s such a anxious time and I feel a little reassurance to see your positive post. Thank you
You're welcome. My doctor said that the brown spotting could be the uterus releasing old blood, or my vaginal cavity being irritated from constantly inserting the progesterone pessaries. Since then it has stopped, but I totally understand the anxiety. Sending you good vibes for a continued healthy pregnancy. Please let me know how the scan goes!
Good Evening, I hope you are well. I had my scan and there was a heartbeat 💗. It’s amazing and apart from being tired I wasn’t convinced I was pregnant 😁
It turns out the spotting was from my cervix which is being cause by the cyclogest pessaries, there was no evidence of bleeding within the uterus.
So relieved onwards and upwards to the next stage xxx
Congratulations and thanks for sharing - I’m in a similar situation and have just had some spotting but been told to wait for my 7 week scan next week, it’s so hard especially when having been here before and things not working out. It’s nice to hear a positive story and gives me some hope. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy xxx
Hi, it really is hard to stay positive after so many disappointments. How are you now? It turns out my brown spotting was also being caused by my pessaries as I developed a terrible infection from constantly inserting them vaginally. My clinic has now switched me to injections.
Keep me posted on your progress. Sending you lots of positive vibes!
Thank you so much feeling ok there hasn’t been any more so I’m praying all will be ok. Sorry to hear you’ve had an infection but at least the clinic have switched things up for you and you know why. I hope you are feeling ok and all is going well, thank you for the positive vibes too 😊xxx
