Hi I went for a follow up scan today as last week was so small and just a flickering. Today I’m measuring as should be and have a strong heart beat but there was another flickering so they are questioning whether my one embryo has split into two with a possibility of a second baby. I’ve got to go back next Tuesday to confirm. Just wondering whether this has happened to anyone else before and what the outcome was?

Glad to hear all has gone well today. How exciting the prospect of identical twins perhaps?! No experience but wishing you all the best with your next scan.xx

Hi, maybe they missed the second baby on the first scan? Did they say there was just one sack? I had a second scan at 8 weeks 2 days today as there was a surprise addition (separate sack) on my 7 week scan. Sadly only one is measuring as it should be with a strong heartbeat. The other has a much weaker heartbeat and looks like it stopped growing at 6 weeks. I have been bleeding for 2 weeks though, so half expected this. If you haven't had any blood then the second may we'll catch up. My sister had triplets naturally in her 20s and one of those was always small and on an incubator when born, but a very fit and healthy 15 year old now. Hope this goes well for you. This journey is hard! 💞💖🤞Xx
Oh my goodness ! This has got to be the best Christmas ivf story ever 🥳🥳🥳🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💐 I love it! Thank you for sharing 😘😘😘💐💐💐💐 hoping it’s a double amazing surprise for you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Not me personally but a lady in another group I’m in transferred one embryo and it split and is having identical twins. Hers are in their own sacs though and just share a placenta. Just be prepared that many doctors may advise you not to continue the pregnancy if the twins share a sac and placenta as this is the riskiest kind of twin pregnancy x
