I really wasn’t sure whether to share this or not so so sorry if it upsets anyone but hopefully it helps, especially for anyone with a SCH xx
8+4 scan today and all was well, strong heartbeat, measuring spot on AND they could no longer see the subchorionic hematoma so they think it’s bled out and/or mostly absorbed. I’ve been discharged from the fertility clinic and to go to regular midwife from now on.
I have no idea what the scan shows other than a blob .. the nurse said I was like ‘Rachel from friends’ but wife and nurses could make it out 🙈😂
Feels like a Bit of a milestone and one I couldn’t have reached without the support on here 🤗

We’re good thank you,I think I’m a day or two behind you so had 8 week scan this week which was good with a nice strong heartbeat 💓 and also discharged from the clinic which is a little scary. Although can’t help but feel anxious a lot of the time so we’ve bought a scan package from the clinic so we will use them in between the nhs ones and still get to go back to see all the clinic staff we know 😊 xxx
Aww delighted for you and that’s a really nice thing they do that package. Our maternity ward is in the same hospital as the clinic so they have made me promise I will visit 😂
Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy and hope the morning (all day) sickness isn’t too bad 🙈🤗💜 xx
This post made me smile & your "rachel from friends" gave a little giggle because honestly, any time I see scan photos I think the same! Congrats on your healthy scan 🥰 xx
Yeah she was delighted and she could see everything clearly and noticed the heartbeat before the nurse. It was the appointment that mattered most so I’m delighted she was there 😊 how are you getting on? Xx
That really is, we are in the same boat, my hubby is delighted he can come in. More excited than me, I am slightly nervous but I think that’s just the pregnant brain at its best! Xxx
Yeah I was so tense took me about 2 minutes to even breathe and process that it was positive! Wife was on cloud 9 though 😂 Looking forward to your updates 🤗 xx
Awww this is awesome Twiglet!!💕 I can see your wee jelly baby even if you are holding your scan upside down!😍🤣🤣 Really pleased for you that it's all settled!!😘xxx
Thank you lovely 🤗 Hahaha apparently they said to hold it upside down To help me see it 🤷🏻♀️ Cos it was internal. Not that I can tell the difference! 🤣🤣 Xx
😂😂 I was like that with my scan picture!! Lovely to see the little heartbeat though 😍! Aww I’m really glad it’s all turned out well, brilliant news!! Congratulations Xx
Amazing! I’ve been watching out for your updates! Have you stopped bleeding now? You must be so relieved!
I can definitely see the baby shape. I think the head is a bit more blurred than the body and is touching the side of the uterus so I almost missed it at first but you can definitely make it out. I remember with my first I spent forever trying to work out what was what but now I can read them more clearly.
Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes without incident. Please do keep us updated!
Aww thank you 😊 and glad you can make something out 😂 I still have light brown discharge but it’s been 2 weeks since any red bleeding 🤞🏽 So I’m really hoping this is it coming to an end xx
The worry with sch! Congratulations wonderful love the scan 😍
Thanks for posting this, it must be such a relief. I too had abnormal cells removed and have been bleeding for the last week. My clinic are not doing the viability scan and the midwife has not been helpful, so I've booked a private one for next week. Hoping all is well as I keep testing and getting 2 lines. Reading your news gives me extra hope at this scary time. Wishing you all the best for the rest of your pregnancy xxx
Thank you and I know you must be very worried, that’s rubbish that your clinic isn’t doing a scan I would be the same and go private. Wishing you the best of luck for next week I know you will worry but I honestly can’t believe the amount of ladies who have told me they bled and it was okay 🤗 xxx
Congratulations Twiglet!! Glad it has resolved and it gives me hope too! Mine is still there (rather big). I hope it will resolve like yours! Wishing you all the best with the rest of the pregnancy! Xxx
Aww thank you! Yeah 2 weeks ago I was the same, I’m still spotting brown but no new red bleeds and nothing noticeable at yesterday’s scan so hoping all is well now but will see what the mid wife says. When is your next scan? Xx
The doctor has told me to wait at least 3 weeks before going back for a scan (unless I have another big bleed) as it will take a long time to be reabsorbed. I am quite worried but I guess there’s nothing I can do other than rest. Did you stay in bed a lot? Xxx
Yeah I am working from home so zoom calls at desk and the rest of the time in bed or on couch. I’ve also been really bad with morning(all day) sickness so the horizontal position tends to help me keep my food down too 😂
Yeah I already had this scan booked in as should have been my first or I think it would have been around 3 weeks for me too if no new red bleeding. Keep my updated will you lovely 🤗 Xxx
I am so pleased for you 😊Congratulations. My first ivf resulted in one 3 days fresh transfer which ended up in a missed miscarriage in 6 weeks due to SCH. I am very scare of going for second round as l don't want to experience the same frustration again. 😔
Sorry for my sad comment. Wishing you a great healthy pregnancy 🤗🤗
Yes that’s what I am very worried about so sorry to hear that 😢 xx hope all goes well for you in your next round I had a loss at 6 weeks earlier in the year and I know how tough it can be 🤗 xx
Oh Twiglet is thrilled to see this - sorry girl the delayed reply I’ve been taking a little break away from the forum but absolutely delighted to see this after all of the angst you’ve had, congratulations again xxx
I am thank you, I don’t come on here as often so often miss posts. Just so thrilled to see those scans and all is going well for you, can’t wait to see the next ones xxx
