Im lookingvfor some advise please. I have had 3 failed IUI's and two failed IVF cycles this year. All my tests are fine and I responded well to the stimulation medications. Although Im no spring chicken and age is not on my side.
Both Ive cycles I had at least 25 eggs and 9 to 1fertlised but with both cycles only two reached to blastocyst stages stage.
I met with my consultant today who supports my decision to try again but this time going with the Long Protocol. Has anyone had long Protocol and been successful? Im doing this on my own so as well as it being financially draining it is also very mentally and emotionally exhausting. I have to wipe my tears and tell myself its all ok and Im strong as I dont have a partner. I would love to hear any success stories / thoughts/ advice.
Even if you think i should continue or not I know this is a matter of opinion but I just feel so lonely and just looking for some support.
Sorry for the long message.
Thank you x

Hi Applepie. No advice but Just wanted to send u a big hug and tell you how strong you are. You have thousands of us here and we are here anytime any of us need help. 👩🏼🤝👩🏽xx
You’re amazing for going through this all on your own!!! 💪💪💪 I also had 3 failed IUI’s, and one failed cycle have just had a positive on our second cycle. Both cycles were long protocol so I don’t have a comparison but they changed my drug second time and we got way more eggs. We got 1 egg to blast first time and 2 second time which we had both transferred.
So not massively comparable but a positive result in long protocol!
HiMy first cycle was short protocol and they retrieved 5 eggs of which 2 fertilised which both resulted in 2 BFNs. They changed to long protocol for my second cycle retrieving 8 eggs of which 6 fertilised and 4 reached blastocysts. I am now 22 weeks pregnant with my first.
